I felt I should let everyone know I don't allow videos that have pop-up adverts on them onto the forum because we can't control the content of the ads. So please check any videos you would like to post, that they are ad-free. Vimeo is better than youtube in this respect.

Also, I won't approve photos of children because any photos online can be stolen, photoshopped and used by paedophiles.

Eucharist service at St Stephen Walbrook. 12.45-1.45 pm. For all those who want to attend a lunchtime service. The St Stephen choir sings special settings of the Mass. Sandwiches and hot drinks are provided free of charge.

Thanking God for hostage release

A day to thank God. Dr Al Guneid has been released and is back home with his family.

He was taken hostage by the Houthi militia in Yemen last August, purely because he was regularly tweeting the truth on Twitter about the war situation in his home town of Taiz.

His family and others, including myself, have waged a campaign to get him free since the day of his abduction, under the hashtag #FreeGuneid

The State of our Nation.

It's mind boggling that a flat bought as an x-council property in London for £12,000 can now be 'worth' over £500, 000 on the open market. Or that a council house bought for a £1 could be worth one and a half million pounds today.

I am trying to get my head around the morality of what's happening in London, especially with the forced exodus because of Bedroom Tax and the reduction in housing benefits. Never again will the…

The Lord at Work

Like most people with a mental illness I have my fair share of burdens, and my lovely daughter supports me as best she can.  I'm her carer but we care for each other.  Eccles 4:9-10.  The Lord frequently sends a big smile to lighten my load.  This morning I was really struggling and we walked to our local shop together.  Bear in mind it's Earth Day today (22nd April).  On the way back there was a great pile of topsoil on the path and she commented: "Did that appear from nowhere?"  I answered…
